Assistant Tech Design

One of the most incredible places i’ve worked over the years is Commando LLC. They are an up-scale womens brand out of South Burlington Vt.

I was fortunate enough to assist the Tech Designer for the summer fo 2022. I learned an exceeding amount. After 3 years of personal experience with design and getting my feet wet, Commando gave me a well rounded skillset.

I did a ton during my time at Commando, everything from pattern alteration, digitizing physcial clothing into patterns, pattern cutting,

SKIDA

SKIDA is an incredibly fun company based out of Burlington Vt. Founded and run by one woman, SKIDA is beloved across america but seems to be the jewel of Vermont fashion.

After my time at Commando I went straight to production sewing for SKIDA. I would sew about 80 facemasks a day and any other production assistance they needed. The sewing was easy, but it was incredible to get all of this ground level experience. To see what’s really turning the gears in these companies that are growing rapidly to become industry leaders.

My time at these companies I cherish and I use to fueled the passion for my own business.

Above is a prototype short that made at SKIDA. The lead prototype seamstress was working on a set of fleece shorts and had a few different renditions. I whipped these up for the prototyping lineup which eventually produced the final short that SKIDA did release.

While I cannot share the exact work that I did at commando, I did create this sample tech pack. It is everything that I would’ve done for Commando, but the subject is my own design.
